Making me a Fighter

15.00

For centuries, women have been told how to act, what to wear, how their body should look like, and how to be the perfect wife. While many may believe that equality between genders is a reality, this is still far from true.

We’ve seen several waves of strong women who fight for women’s rights, decades after decades, however there are still a lot of social impositions that are ingrained in women, and we need to work on these individually, in our own time in order to surpass them and gain self-confidence. This talk, led by Mel McElhatton, a social worker and psychotherapist, will look into ways women can build their resilience and self-confidence in a modern world. The talk will be followed by a Q&A and discussion with you as part of the audience giving your opinion and thoughts.
